Major Announcement - Powell Signs with the Pontiacs

The Pontiacs are proud to announce the signing of local standout, Shane Powell. 

Powell returns to the Pontiacs uniform after previously suiting up for 117 games and producing 128pts during his junior career. 

"Shane understands what being a Pontiac means. He has a very high hockey IQ, is an excellent puck mover, and is extremely strong in the faceoff dot. One thing that sets Powell apart from his opponents is his relentless work ethic and competitive edge that's hard to match. We're very excited to see him back playing at home," says Findlay.

Powell is the grandson of Pontiac SR Hockey Legend, Earl Powell.

Powell effectue un retour dans l’uniforme des Pontiacs après avoir disputé 117 matchs et récolté 128 points au cours de sa carrière junior.

« Shane sait exactement ce que ça veut dire d’être un Pontiac. Il possède une excellente vision du jeu, bouge la rondelle avec aisance et est redoutable dans le cercle des mises en jeu. Ce qui le distingue vraiment de ses adversaires, c’est son éthique de travail irréprochable et son intensité compétitive difficile à égaler. On est très heureux de le revoir chez nous », mentionne Findlay.

Powell est le petit-fils d’une véritable légende du hockey senior dans le Pontiac : Earl Powell.
