Pontiacs Put 15 Past Rivermen Behind Brennan and Cousineau

Joey Brennan and Timothy Cousineau each had five-point nights as the Shawville Pontiacs rolled past the Arnprior Rivermen 15-6 at Shawville Arena. Brennan scored twice and added three assists, while Cousineau also finished with two goals and three helpers in a game that was all Shawville after the opening minutes.

The Pontiacs scored eight times in the first period to take control, with Alexandre Landreville netting the eventual game-winner for a 7-0 lead. Julien Arruda, Marc-Olivier Racine-Roy, D’Artagnan Joly and Anthony Clutchey were part of the early surge, and Shawville kept adding throughout the second and third.

Arnprior got on the board in the second on Ryley Egan's power-play goal, and Ryan Spooner chipped in a goal and two assists. Chris Newhook, Sebastien Ouimet and Stephen Bird also scored for the Rivermen, but the margin never came close to shrinking.

Danick Boisvert earned the win after sharing the Shawville crease with Emerik Despatie. Xavier Dusablon took the loss for Arnprior. The Pontiacs are now 2-1, while the Rivermen fall to 3-1. Shawville also led the season series 1-0.
